Ermal Beqiri: ACTI, A New Chapter for Albanian Technology

The Albanian Council for Technology and Innovation (ACTI) is an Albanian organization founded in early 2025 under the vision of Ermal Beqiri. It leads a transformative movement to build a strong national tech identity for Albania on the global stage. Its mission is to export complete technology projects, breaking away from the outdated model of “outsourced labor,” where Albanian professionals have traditionally served as support resources for foreign companies.

In just three months since its founding, ACTI has created a platform that brings together professionals, companies, and innovators to share knowledge and develop technology solutions with global impact.

ACTI’s goal is clear: to build an ecosystem where Albanian talent doesn’t just complete tasks but leads projects from concept to implementation.

To support this mission,  ACTI has established six strategic committees focused on key areas of technological development:

3. Startups, Technology, and Innovation
4. Local and Global Policy
5. Diaspora Engagement

For years, Albania has carried the label of a “contracted labor market” a country that provides technical skills without creating full-cycle value. Under Ermal Beqiri’s leadership, ACTI has embraced this challenge with the ambition of transforming Albanian teams into creators of full solutions, from innovative software to complete digital platforms.

ACT NOW 2025: The Platform and Award for Albanian Innovation

ACT NOW 2025 is ACTI’s flagship initiative, a high-level event and award program aimed at placing Albania on the global innovation map.
