Job Summary: The Junior Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for assisting in the management and support of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and basic hardware components. This role involves daily technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the infrastructure to ensure stable and efficient operation of IT systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assisting in Infrastructure Management:
   • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of servers, including physical and virtual servers.
   • Help implement and maintain security measures to protect the IT infrastructure.
   • Monitor system performance and report potential issues or improvements.
   • Assist in managing storage systems to ensure data availability.
2. Technical Support and Maintenance:
   • Provide technical support for minor issues and common requests related to infrastructure.
   • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as backups and software/hardware updates.
   • Assist in troubleshooting technical problems and maintain simple documentation of changes made.
3. Projects and Collaboration:
   • Assist the IT team in infrastructure-related projects and improvements.
   • Collaborate with other team members to learn and implement new technologies that improve infrastructure efficiency.
4. Security and Compliance:
   • Help implement security protocols to protect servers and data.
   • Participate in security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies.

Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or in the process of completing studies).
  • Basic knowledge of server administration and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in IT infrastructure management.
  • Problem-solving skills and readiness to work in a dynamic environment.
