Part Time Instructor in the Back-End Web Development profile

We are looking for a confident individual to join our team as a part-time instructor for the Back-End Web Development profile.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic software developers with experience in teaching theory and practical activities related to computer programming.

We welcome applications from experienced instructors but will also be willing to support those individuals who enjoy significant industry experience and are looking to start a career in education to achieve a teaching qualification through our programme.

Responsibilities:

• Guide students through the development of a final project that will highlight their professional skills in front of HR managers;
• Creating a dynamic and collaborative classroom community;
• Instructors will need to commit several hours per week to prepare lessons and materials, utilizing existing Soft Academy curriculum content;
• Inspire students to persevere in the challenges of learning a new skill set.

Skill required

• Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in Back-End Web Development
• Have knowledge in project management both Agile and Water Fall Project Management, approaches and familiarity with project management tools.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, C#, MVC.
• Solving complex performance issues, architectural challenges, and security exploits is a must.
• Understanding of MVC C# framework and design patterns.
• Individuals who enjoy: experience in UX design are at an advantage;
• Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and web services development.
• Passion for design and coding best practices and a desire to develop bold new ideas.
• Creating the database schema that represents and supports business processes.
